Biography

Today, as a global content company in health and wellness, Rodale reaches more than 40 million people in 57 countries each month through its category-leading media properties and integrated marketing solutions and is one of the largest direct-to-consumer businesses. Rodale's nine magazine properties, all veteran publications in their categories, include the brands Prevention, Men's Health and Runner's World, as well as Women's Health, Organic Gardening, Backpacker, Best Life, Bicycling and Mountain Bike. Today Rodale magazines are published in 48 countries.

Rodale also publishes highly acclaimed books on health, fitness, cooking, gardening, spirituality, nature and more. Recent New York Times Bestsellers include Martha Stewart's The Martha Rules; Bill Maher's New Rules: Polite Musings from a Timid Observer; Body for Life for Women by Pam Peeke, M.D., M.P.H., F.A.C.P.; the titles within The South Beach Diet and The Abs Diet franchises, as well as Pete Rose: My Prison Without Bars and Dr. Shapiro's Picture Perfect Weight Loss. Additionally, the company has a sizeable, wholly owned book program outside the United States, Rodale Books International. Global franchises continue to be built for The South Beach Diet publishing program (more than 19 million copies of the four titles in The South Beach Diet franchise are now available worldwide in 31 languages and 35 international editions) and The Abs Diet (18 international editions) titles.
